Dusty D has heard a whisper in the wind that the Dreamland Theater is planning a tour de force marionette show that traces the entire history of Ypsilanti in five action-packed acts. It is said that several different types of puppetry will be combined in this show, and that there might be a talking mastodon. The word is that the theater contracted with a local history authority of rare and curlicued erudition to provide background information for the show, yessirree. Dusty D was impressed. The show is tentatively scheduled for September and may even visit local schools.
Don't forget the Hobo Film Fest coming up at the Dreamland, at 26 N. Washington, on May 21 at 7 p.m. for $7. Dusty D is always interested in the histories of societal outliers, and plans to go.
