  1. This is such a beautiful picture to close Allie's story on these pages. I had made a comment a few days ago about how sad the disrepair of her headstone was. I think that I might need to re-address that thought here. . . I can see her name. I know who she was and a little bit about what she thought for the last year of her life. All through these pages, we the readers knew that she didn't have a long time to live. As she wrote her daily story, she didn't know what we knew, and wrote notes that she only intended for herself to read someday when she grew old. Now at the end, an anonymous bouquet from a caring person that says "I miss you." I guess that's all we can ask for. Russ
