Aug. 19 Tues. Sick.

Aug. 20 Wed. Sick--

Aug. 21 Thurs Sick

Aug. 22 Fri. Signs of improvement.

Aug. 23 Sat. But awful sick.

Aug. 24 Sun. About same.

Aug. 25 Mon. Better. Sat up in bed.

Thanks for reading; tune in next Tuesday for the next series!

Poor Carrie! I have been sick before as long as four days -- it was terrible! I can't imagine being so sick I couldn't rise for weeks on end. Where was Lillian in all this???

Lisele: Good question: I don't know where Lillian was.

Given my cynicism I can't help but think that this illness was no more than a reaction to the ingestion of the mercury in the calomel she took. Mercury poisoning. Poor Carrie!
