So much for stumping readers with the merest wisp of a clue: the onetime name of a vanished settlement, Carpenter's Corners. Wysten and Joan both guessed it correctly: Carpenter and Packard (click for larger image).
You can see it here in an 1864 plat map. Curiously, the 1864 map is the only map, of 5 ranging from 1856-1915, in which the name of the settlement appears. This might suggest that the settlement was at its most prominent around 1864.
Joan added some additional interesting information: "I agree with Mr. Stevens, because of the Carpenter reference but also the reference to Leverett's. When I first moved to AA over 40 years ago there was a Leverett's home, market, etc.on Packard near Carpenter."
A check of aforementioned plat maps reveals that the Leverett name does not appear (so far as I can see) until the 1915 map. On that map, excerpted at right, you can see the extensive landholdings of Charles W. Leverett. At right is a rectangular section stretching from modern-day Washtenaw down to Packard. At center is a section south of Packard and east and west of Carpenter. Below that is another section extending south.
Dusty D would love to know the location of Leverett's onetime home and market. Guessing those were in the central portion...but where? And what sort of market was it? I'd love to know.
Moving on to this week's Mystery Spot now, here's a view of a scene somewhere around town. But where could you see "Insane Love"? Answer next Wednesday!

I believe this is on the Frog Island Brewing building next to the grain elevators on Forest, next to the river.
(Vaguely) Hmm, that is an interesting guess, Thomas. We'll find out next Wednesday! :)
(Gee whiz, I posted this like 10 seconds ago, fer Pete's sake!!) :D
Was in a meeting, otherwise I might have beat Dusty D's reply.
I agree with Thomas.
I've often thought the grain elevators should be turned into an indoor climbing gym.
Mental tangent: There is a huge (former) grain elevator in Akron, OH, that got turned into a nice hotel. See: http://www.ci.akron.oh.us/Tour/QuakerSquare.htm
BF: Excuses, excuses. :D j/k
(Enigmatically) Another interesting guess. I also like your ideas for the grain elevator. Indoor climbing gym is a cool idea. How about a zipline to boot from the top of the tower? Throw in a mini skate park and you have a youth fun center, and you're right on the river there, which could also be used for recreation in some way.
Leverett's Market is where ZZ's Produce is; or, I should say, poor ZZ's, the market recently plowed into by a car (no one hurt, market smashed up).
Whoa, Ed!--I missed that story! Thank you for pinpointing Leverett's Market; I'd been really curious. I've bought produce at ZZ's...hope insurance will cover repairs.
